A company that requires no introduction, Philips Electronics is one of the world's largest consumer electronics manufacturers, boasting a market capitalization of over $40 billion USD. Needing a comprehensive system to centralize and maintain its extensive collection of multi-media, Philips selected #10 to design, build and implement its new "Digital Library" concept.

With multi-media files in unstructured formats (i.e., Zip Disks, CD-ROMs and print), efforts to reproduce content for use in marketing materials are duplicated. By housing multi-media in a central location, it becomes easier to use materials for various marketing applications. Assets ranging from multi-media video and sound files to photos, illustrations and logos - content typically used in PowerPoint presentations, trade show exhibits, brochures, websites and direct mail campaigns - are readily accessible and always up-to-date with company standards.

For Philips, the solution involved creating a sophisticated content management system that would enable multiple contributors and users to upload/download.
