Thrasher Magazine

One of the oldest and most respected skate institutions in the world launches eCommerce site.

The Company

High Speed Productions owns and operates several magazines and websites, including Thrasher and Slap, which are two of the most widely circulated and recognized skateboarding publications worldwide, and Juxtapoz, a modern and contemporary art magazine gaining global recognition and acclaim.

The Challenge

High Speed Productions had three existing eCommerce sites that were limiting their sales growth ability due to a largely inflexible and non-scalable system. HSP had many legacy requirements from its mail order forms that needed to be reflected in the web store operations. In addition, the sites lacked visual appeal, the ability to up-sell/cross-sell products, and most importantly, were unable to integrate seamlessly with HSP’s backend systems.

The Solution

#10 leveraged its custom eCommerce platform to build a set of scalable, robust eCommerce sites. We also integrated the website with HSP´s accounting and logistics departments, allowing data to seamlessly flow into each system, thereby eliminating paper trails and security concerns. In addition, #10 developed an online marketing strategy to help HSP maximize traffic, average order sizes and conversion rates on its new web stores.
